Our Intricate Layers
A Guide to our Chakras and Energy Bodies
The ancient wisdom of the chakras has been embraced by cultures around the world for centuries. These energy centres within our bodies play a vital role in our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. We hear lots about the 7 main chakras, but less about the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th, in this article we will delve into the realm of all 12 chakras and the 5 energy bodies, to give you a greater understanding of our energy centres and your aura. We will explore their unique qualities, significance, and how you can harness their power to achieve balance and vitality.
Chakras are energy wheels, there are 7 main chakras that run the length of our spine. Each chakra is associated to a colour and is linked to certain parts of the body and emotions. When one or more of our chakras are blocked it causes emotional and physical dissonance. This usually occurs when we do not process negative emotions and supress them instead. Negative thoughts, feelings and emotions can be caused by many things, and what impacts one person, may have zero effect on the other. The impact an event or something someone says to us varies based on things that have already happened to us, not just in this life but in all of our past lives, it can even be linked to ancestorial trauma that has been carried through our lineage. The point is when something impacts us negatively, if left unprocessed, it can cause a block in our energy system and centres. Happily, there are lots of ways we can move negative energy along and out of our sacred system.
Let’s first take a closer look at the 7 main chakras and what they are associated with.

When balanced, it instils a sense of safety and helps us feel rooted in our lives. When blocked we can feel fearful, anxious, ungrounded or disconnected from your body. Practices such as yoga, meditation, and spending time in nature can help activate and balance the root chakra.

Breaking the Cycle of Depression
Empowering Healing through Energy Therapy
Depression is a complex and challenging condition that affects millions of people worldwide. While traditional approaches to treatment, such as therapy and medication, have proven effective for many, there is growing interest in alternative methods like energy therapy. Lets explore how energy therapy can break the cycle of depression, offering a holistic and empowering approach to healing.
Understanding Energy Therapy for Depression
Energy therapy approaches, such as Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, Tapping), and chakra balancing, work on the principle that depression is not only a mental health issue but also an energetic imbalance within the body. These therapies aim to restore the flow of vital life force energy, promoting balance and well-being on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Breaking the Cycle
Releasing Blocked Energy: Depression often manifests as blocked or stagnant energy within the body. Energy therapy techniques help release these energy blockages, allowing the free flow of life force energy. As a result, this can reduce feelings of heaviness, sadness, and emotional numbness often associated with depression.
Restoring Emotional Balance: Energy therapy can help individuals process and release suppressed emotions. By addressing the energetic imbalances underlying depression, these therapies can promote emotional healing, reduce anxiety, and enhance overall emotional wellbeing.
Enhancing Self-Awareness: Energy therapy encourages individuals to become more aware of their energetic state and how it relates to their emotions and thoughts. Through this heightened self-awareness, individuals can identify and address negative patterns or triggers, leading to healthier coping mechanisms and a greater sense of self-control.
Promoting Relaxation and Stress Reduction: Energy therapy techniques, such as Reiki and EFT induce deep relaxation and reduce stress. By activating the body's natural relaxation response, these therapies can alleviate symptoms of depression, such as fatigue, insomnia, and restlessness.
Supporting Mind-Body Connection: Energy therapy recognises the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. By addressing the energetic imbalances, individuals can experience a greater sense of harmony and alignment within themselves, promoting overall wellbeing and aiding in the management of depressive symptoms.
Empowering a Sense of Hope and Compassion: Energy therapy often focuses on fostering a positive mindset and cultivating feelings of hope and compassion. By working with energy systems, individuals can regain a sense of control over their own healing journey, empowering them to break free from the cycle of depression and embrace a more positive outlook on life.
Depression is a complex condition that requires a comprehensive approach to healing. Energy therapy offers a unique and empowering method to break the cycle of depression by addressing the energetic imbalances underlying this mental health challenge. By restoring the flow of energy, promoting emotional wellbeing, and enhancing self-awareness, energy therapy can support individuals in their journey towards healing and breaking free from the grip of depression. As with any treatment, it's important to consult with a qualified energy therapy practitioner and work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals. Embrace the power of energy therapy and take a step towards reclaiming your vitality and wellbeing.
